Just to catch up:
Friday: Dean and I went to Hawrelak Park to listen to the Edmonton International Blues Festival. It was a pretty nice night there except for the stupid concession stand closed their hot food service an hour and a half early and Dean got a bug in his eye that took about 5 (looong) minutes to get out. Plus there are these tiny little bug thingees that seem to like Dean's shirt. We had to cover him up. The music was good but the night was a tad cold.
On our way home from the park, we went through Whyte Ave and the Edmonton Fringe Festival was on (used to be fun and somewhat artsy but now it feels all commercial and became a social event for yuppies to be seen and subwoofered cars to cruise). We looked out the window at some crazy souped up sports car and the frat boys inside were all stylin' and they had used blacklight for the interior of the car!! So these morons in their white t-shirts honestly looked like they thought they were the best things to come along since ummm... Ikea. This goth girl on the bus was like "Oh my God! look at those retards!" and I was like "Haha!! They think they're cool". So everyone at the bus had a good laugh.
Saturday: Dean, my siblings Suzette and Sam and I went to see Mars at theOdesseum Odyssyum Odysium Edmonton Space and Science Centre but I think what stole the show was that they had a telescope pointing at The Ring of Nebula. That was really cool! Oh, and Westworld called and my laptop is FINALLY ready! About time!
