The last month wasn't a great month, technically. It took me a very long time and a lot of hassle to get RAM for my computer. Plus I was having server problems and bandwidth problems. Too much external linking to images on my site I guess. I'm still trying to sort out all the mess. Hopefully it'll be fixed this weekend. I have such a headache from it all.
Last week, we were going out of town to take Vanessa to a dance festival when we were struck with a flat tire. Luckily, we were still in Vegreville and we had to turn around and get it fixed. Unfortunately it took three hours to fix (mostly waiting for the mechanic to get to our car) so Vanessa missed the first dance she was in. She did make it to the second performance and won gold for it.
Lately between pages of work, I've been playing Dope Wars. It's kinda cool, and it only takes about 10-15 minutes out of my day to play. I used to play an old DOS version that was pretty similar but more simple. This new online one is almost as fun but lacks cops. If anyone wants to play, drop me a line, and I'll let you into our cartel. We're looking for more players.
I started a little indoor herb garden that's turning out well. I'm thinking about getting some sort of rail planter for the front porch so I can put the pots outside in the summer. I'd also like to raise the flowerbed on the front of the house. That probably won't happen until next year, after we repaint the house. Our house will also needs better insulation. It's very drafty and cold in the winter.
Some yummy recipes from Dean's mom:
Dill Loaf
Almond Rocca
